Full Stack Engineer, AI Product Integration

About the role

A working AI demo is built in a lab. A working AI feature reaches millions of users, and getting from one to the other — scale, interaction design, stability in production — is what this role does. You’ll join the AI team and own the product side of our AI: the experiences users see (TypeScript, React, Node) and the plumbing behind them. Where other teams are involved — messaging platforms, processing infrastructure — you’ll work with them: you’re the link between what the AI can do and what the product needs. This is a mid-level generalist role: much of what you ship, you drive without owning every part.

What your first six months look like

Build the user-facing side of document data: show users what our AI extracted from their documents and let them check it — earning user trust through good interaction

Build the first agent experiences users see: mention the agent and it edits the document; the UI that shows what an agent is doing, what it changed, and lets users undo it

Build what runs behind these features — processing capacity, streaming updates — together with the platform teams who own those systems

Responsibilities

◦ Front end: build AI experiences in React/Next.js with our design system — streaming responses, progress states, diff views, mobile-friendly by default.
◦ Back end: add GraphQL endpoints to our NestJS backend that wire AI services into product workflows — for example, an agreement about to expire triggers its own renewal reminder.
◦ Work across teams: connections to Slack and email, document-processing infrastructure — you coordinate, unblock, and ship.
◦ Own adoption metrics and end-to-end tests for everything you ship.
◦Translate between AI engineers and product teams — you’ll be the person who knows both sides.

Your skills and experience

◦ 3+ years of full-stack TypeScript: React/Next.js and Node.js backends (NestJS or similar); GraphQL; consuming REST/gRPC services.
◦ Features you shipped end-to-end to real users — including the unglamorous parts: instrumentation, tests, rollout.
◦ Async/streaming UX patterns and state management for long-running tasks.
◦ Comfortable working in English, spoken and written.
◦ Self-directed; comfortable being the only full-stack engineer in an AI-heavy team.
