Technical Lead

As a Technical Lead in DSV plays both roles of a technical expert and a team leader in the design, development, and delivery of Software Development projects in DSV. You will participate in the planning, implementation and support for software products that meet established specifications, design criteria, quality standards and business requirements.

On Technical perspective, a Technical Lead is responsible for analyzing requirements of the assigned software features, and providing solutions for architect, design and technical approaches for the software.

On Leadership perspective, a Technical Lead is responsible for mentoring Software Engineers; perform technical training, and other supporting tasks in the project team. Depending on temporary need in a specific circumstance, a Technical Lead may be assigned to manage project teams or coordinate the development and delivery of projects. 

Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead, your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Management of some internal projects.
  • Join a Client meeting with the Sales team to consult technical.
  • Handle new project estimations. Participate in functional and technical analysis and provide estimation for projects from unit-of-work level to product level.
  • Work with functional people in analyzing requirements defined by DSV and clients, including clients business functions, enhancement, and application defects.
  • Work with the Developer team to create or review the development plan, design document, development guide, deployment guide, installation guide, release note…
  • Directly write or review source code for coding standards compliant, and manage source control systems and code delivery processes.
  • Provide solutions for difficult technical and architectural issues, and be technical and architectural decision makers for the assigned development features or projects.
  • Research and self-training on new technologies related to projects and directions of DSV. Design and conduct training courses to technical staff in DSV for new technologies.
  • Plan for assigned tasks and support Project Manager in project planning.
  • Identifying risks and changes in the project and supporting Project Manager in risk and change management.
  • Coordinate with developers and provide them monitoring, mentoring, supporting, and managing daily activities. The daily activities should include but not limited to:
  • Monitor progress and quality of the tasks assigned to the engineers.
  • Come up with technical/functional solutions for problems.
  • Review/adjust documents.
  • Review/adjust codes to make sure it is in line with coding and quality standards in DSV.
  • Interview & mentor new technical employees.

Your skills and experiences

    Good candidates for Technical Lead position should have the following qualifications:

    • At least 3 – 5 years experience in Object Oriented programming languages. (Prefer to have at least 1 years experience work as Technical lead).
    • At least 2 years experience in Object Oriented analysis and design.
    • Have experience working with mobile applications & web.
    • Good English skills (04 skills – equivalent TOEIC 700)
    • Graduated from a specialized university IT, software… Extensive IT knowledge-base.
    • Other relevant certificates in Software, Hardware, Networking Engineering or Management and Soft skills are plus.
    • Proficient in Javascript‘s Frameworks.
    • Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to develop new approaches to design problems.
    • Ability to manage/lead team size of ~ 10 members (included: BA, Design, QC, Dev ….).
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
    • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines.
    • Ability to be flexible and to handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner.
